Dr. Grant Gowing
Dr. Gowing was born and raised in the Charlotte, NC suburb of Mooresville. He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Pre-Med concentration. Following graduation, Dr. Gowing moved to Washington, D.C. where he began studies to be a Physician Assistant. After much deliberation and conversation, he shifted his focus toward Chiropractic, as he believed there was much more a Chiropractor could give to an individual via a specific, scientific adjustment.
After three and a half years, Dr. Gowing graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life University in Marietta, GA. He became a Doctor of Chiropractic after completing thousands of hours of class time in both fundamental and clinical sciences, radiological and clinical diagnosis, and countless hours of studying and practicing of the Chiropractic craft itself.
Dr. Gowing aims to provide his patients with exceptional chiropractic care in order to allow them to live a life void of dis-ease and full of optimal bodily and systemic function. He prides himself in providing a sense of community, integrity, and a safe space all within a caring and loving environment.
Dr. Gowing utilizes a variety of techniques to help facilitate the body’s innate healing ability including Full Spine Diversified, Thompson Drop, Instrument adjusting, and Spinal Disc Decompression methods to name a few.
During his first year of school at Life University, Dr. Gowing met Dr. Alexis Demetrious who also helped further his love for Chiropractic. Together they have two dogs, Albert and Bennett, and a cat, Nala. Dr. Gowing enjoys his free time by going to App State football games, spending time at the Wilmington beaches, as well as spending as much time as possible loving Dr. Alexis!
